Pagan Prison Ministry

Uniquely Suited for Pagans

In addition to UUFB’s environmental and social justice activities, ASIC’s community service opportunities include Pagan Prison Ministry.  Each month, ASIC’s volunteers venture into South Carolina state correctional institutions to support Pagan-identified inmates.  ASIC’s guides help inmates better themselves with integrity and purpose, breaking the cycle of re-offending.  In lessons rooted by contemporary Pagan values, inmates practice coping skills, build character and self-worth, and learn how to discuss their personal beliefs with dignity while understanding and respecting the differences of other faiths.
